Oh god, it's raining
But I'm not complaining
It's filling me up
With new life
The stars in the sky
Bring tears to my eyes
They're lighting my way
Tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
Just for a day
On a day like today
I'll get away from this
Constant debauchery
The wind in my hair
Makes me so aware
How good it is to live
Tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
The moon
Is shining in the sky
Reminding me
Of so many other nights
But they're not like tonight
Oh god, it's raining
And I'm not containing
My pleasure at being
So wet
Here on my own
All on my own
How good it feels to be alone
Tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
The moon
Is shining in the sky
Reminding me
Of so many other nights
When my eyes have been so red
I've been mistaken for dead
But not tonight
IIII"BUT NOT TONIGHT"

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
Food Centers.
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
A bag of garbage.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
On the television set: I watched Eddie Izzard's Dressed To Kill (on video) last night with my friend Stacey. On cable television: I watched some stupid Hollywood Crime show on CourtTV about Courtney Love very late last night while trying to go to sleep.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
6:02 p.m.
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
6:00 p.m.
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
I'm assuming that the sounds coming from my computer speakers do not count (music). I'm also guessing that the sounds of my fingers typing don't count, because it's computer-affiliated. In that case, I can barely hear the oscillating fan blowing above my bookcase.
7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:
Smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee, and placing a few phone calls.
8: before you came to this website, what did you look at?:
("This website" was my Friends Page on Lj… so before this, I was looking at–) The bookstore hours at my college so I can take my last book back for $.
9: what are you wearing?:
Depeche Mode "Songs of Faith and Devotion" tour shirt; brown, polyester pants; flip flops.
10: Did you dream last night?
Yes. They were heartbreaking and disturbing.
11: When did you last laugh?
A couple of hours ago when I was reading a Christmas card from my friend Mindy.
12: what is on the walls of the room you are in?:
Mostly posters and random papers with 'things' on them.
13: Seen anything weird lately?:
Probably. Umm… I can't think of anything right now.
14: What do you think of this quiz?
For some reason, it's actually pleasant; uncommon for these things.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
Napoleon Dynamite.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
Probably something mediocre, since any large-scale purchases would be well-considered first. I could use some milk in the fridge.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
I have mild Tourette's.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?: I don't know. Something grand.
19: Do you like to dance?:
Sometimes I do. More often than not, however, I can't enjoy myself while dancing because I'm constantly worrying that I appear foolish to anyone looking at me.
20: George Bush:
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Claire.
21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
Joseph.
22: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
I wish I could right now.
